A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

We’ve all likely seen the photo of American Olympians John Carlos & Tommie Smith from the 1968 Summer Olympics - fists raised in protest. But what about the other guy in the photo?

Truly an interesting story. One I had not even thought about. Very sad that he had to deal with so much hate upon his return to Australia, only being formally apologized to in 2012, 6 years after he had passed away.
