Taking Inventory - August 2022

  1. Pretty chill month with school starting. We now have a high school freshman and 7th grader. Crazy.

  2. New driver training has begun, with A getting his permit shortly after his birthday.

  3. This month I went to the office twice to work - one was cut short due to a water main break up the street, which flooded the office basement, causing damage and requiring all the utilities to be shut off. I went back for a co-worker’s last day toward the end of the month also, when things were mostly cleaned up.

  4. We wrapped up summer with a visit to Gateway Arch NP. I hadn’t been since the renovation, so it was cool to go back and see the changes.

  5. Had lunch w/a fellow CPA who was on his way from Chicago to Arkansas to see a friend. It was good to catch up and chat about the common struggles and opportunities of what’s going on with our line of work.

  6. Premier League is underway, it is so nice to wake up, watch some football and still have the rest of the day on the weekend to do what we need/want to do.
