Taking Inventory - October 2022
I’m a little late on this, but here goes:
Had a wonderful Fall Break trip to Orlando, FL. We stayed at the Cabana Bay Resort at Universal which was perfect - nice pool and amenities and a very lovely walk to the Universal Parks.
We had breakfast at the “Leaky Cauldron” in Dragon Alley of Universal - the Harry Potter themed section. After picking up Starbucks of course.
Favorite rides included the Escape from Gringotts, Hagrid’s Magic Motorbike Adventure, Velocicoaster, and the Hogwarts Express train from park to park was a cool experience.
The Universal CityWalk was also a neat experience, a bunch of different restaurants/shops outside the parks. We had lunch at Cowfish which was a mix of burgers and sushi.
We also spent about a half-day at the Magic Kingdom at Disney, but found it was geared more toward younger kids. After a full day at Universal we were more than happy to be finished early and head back the pool and relax.
Found out the Orlando airport is named MCO because of it’s former name: McCoy Air Force Base, which is kinda cool.
