Derek Sivers doesn’t blog frequently, but when he does it is quality stuff.
In the linked article he discusses making decisions by thinking about the different paths that might occur. The last line made me think.
Atomic habits? Decision fatigue? One big choice shapes a hundred more. So it helps to daydream implications.
This reminds me a lot of Ramit Sethi’s advice to focus on the Big Wins (the house you buy, the car you drive, etc), instead of worrying about small costs like a daily coffee. Those big choices will shape your personal finance much, much more than spending $5-6 bucks on coffee every day.
