President Jimmy Carter lived to be 100, and died this week.

He was just before my time, well technically during my time, elected just after I was born. The first President I actually remember was Reagan, who took office when I was 5. I heard nothing but negative things about Carter growing up in a mostly Republican childhood/school system.

But he is arguably the most accomplished President, AFTER leaving the White House. Between Habitat For Humanity and the Carter Center, wow he sure used his post White House years to do a lot of good. We need more leaders like him.
