What’s happening…July 2025

It’s still hard to believe it’s been a full month without our dog Sawyer. RIP. I am getting more used to him not being around, but I’ve still caught myself coming home, waiting to hear his paws on the hardwood floors coming to meet me at the door…then remembering.

We did our (sort-of) annual trip to Diamond City, Arkansas toward the end of July, which was extra fun since both kids brought friends. So yeah, a bunch of teenagers in an AirBNB and on a lake was fun. I was a little nervous they might get wild, but everyone was well behaved and it was a fun weekend away.

Otherwise, just working my 4 day weeks. Trying to do our Friday breakfasts when we can.

Most of July was brutally hot, so I didn’t get out to ride my bike much, just two Wednesday commutes to/from the office. Still a ways to go to get to my goal of riding 400 miles this year.

No buy July recap: I don’t really recall buying any non-needed items, except maybe one t-shirt during Prime Days.

That’s about it. August will be busier - back to school, both kids playing soccer. A good type of busy.
